Situated between Amsterdam , The Hague and Utrecht , Leiden is easily accessible by any means of transportation.

Leiden Museum Town -Leiden has an enormous amount of art and culture on offer - ancient and modern, today’s and yesterday’s, from distant lands or from round the corner, familiar and unexpected, all gathered together in eleven museums. Since its founding in 1575 Leiden University has maintained an impressive international profile. Large numbers of international scholars and students find their way to Leiden to spend various amounts of time studying and doing research. The current student enrolment is around 14,000 students, of which approximately 10 percent are foreign students. Leiden University still has an international outlook and orientation and maintains numerous contacts with academic institutions all over the world.

The Lakenhal Municipal Museum-Leiden from 1500 to the present day: life, work, and art in an old Dutch city. The Lakenhal, once centre of the Leiden textile industry, offers visitors all of this through a variety of exhibits and paintings. Keukenhof -Leiden is a perfect base for seeing something of the Dutch bulb fields which flourish here in spring. The Keukenhof gardens in Lisse, the largest flower gardens in the world, is the best place to head for.

National Museum of Antiquities -The riches and diversity of the Ancient world in a nutshell. The department ‘Archeology of the Netherlands’ offers a comprehensive view of the prehistory and Middle Ages of the Netherlands.

Seaside Resort Katwijk - Katwijk is the ideal seaside resort for everybody looking for peace and relaxation, but with everything close at hand. A stay in Katwijk first and foremost means enjoying its fresh air, its wide and clean beach and the sea.

Museum Boerhaave - Five centuries of medical science and physics experiments. All brought together under one roof, in the former St. Caecilia’s Hospice, where once Professor Herman Boerhaave himself, botanist, chemist and surgeon, gave lectures.

National Museum of Coins and Medals -The possessions of the National Museum of Coins and Medals include a Dutch East India Company gold treasure from the 18th century, together with Greek and Roman coins, Dutch coins and medals, engraved gemstones and paper money from bygone times.
