Across the Water                                                               

Amersfoort is a small city that has kept its medieval characteristics. All sightseeing can be done in a period of some hours. It is right in the middle of the country and one can escape Amsterdam and, after only 30 minutes by train, plunge into the tranquility of this miniature of a city. There are trains to Amersfoort leaving Amsterdam Central Station every 15 minutes.
