Contemporary European History
is an important journal which covers Eastern and
Western Europe, including the United Kingdom, from
1918 to the present. By combining a wide geographical
compass with a relatively short time span, the journal
achieves both range and depth in its coverage.

The Court of Justice
comprises 15 judges and 8 advocates general.
They are chosen from jurists whose independence is
beyond doubt and who are of recognized competence. The
judges select one of their number to be President of
the Court for a renewable term of three years. The
President directs the work of the Court and presides
at hearings and deliberations. The Commission, is
