This
is the largest city in the south-western Bulgaria.
Spring
is cool and rainy, sometimes it hails. There are conditions for formation
of late ground frost. The
first half of autumn is warm, sunny and dry. During the second half it
gets cool, the cloudiness increases, it rains more and more often, it
turns foggy, the winds rise. Sometimes there is ground frost in the
beginning of the autumn.
The
mountains are rich in springs and wells. There are three lakes on the
territory of Botevgrad municipality each of them having specific functions
and characteristics. Botevgrad municipality lives not only with the present and future but with the knowledge, experience and history of the past generations as well. The wealth of historical monuments and finds as pottery, statuary and other objects testimony to culture and artistic skills of the people who inhabited the region 2000 years ago. |
